We have released a heap - a HEAP, I say - of songs this past year, and it has been an exiting journey so far. The writing-process, the hours in studio to get that perfect sound, the mixing and then finally: the moment you´ve been waiting for, the sending-off, the good bye to a song that has become your every focus since you began working on it... That feeling is difficult to describe. It´s a mixture of pride, joy and sadness, and all your insecurities suddenly bubble to the surface, as you wait for the response, the judgement from others. At the same time; that´s what you want! some part of you (probably the masochistic part) wants people to tell you what they feel about what you´ve been working on. You acctually WANT them to be honest and say what they truly think of what you´ve created, so that you can take it with you and eventually get better at it. And you brace for impact...
We are not a world-famous band. We do not claim to be anything more than musicians with years of experience. A few of these experiences may be unveiled at a later occasion, but it is important for me/us that you know who we are. As musicians, and as people, as the Anthem Revival project keeps rolling towards whatever awaits us in the future. And I think you´ll learn something about us if you get to see how we work.
It´s about time I gave you a little tour of my writing process and how the songs come to life. Some will take place here on the site, as blog-entries, but I will also be posting some videoes on social media to explain (losely) how it all happens. Well, most of it anyways...
